Our Story

About MapleScore

A small Vancouver team with a big idea: entertainment that is visually exciting, completely free, and ethically responsible from day one.

Who We Are

Built in Vancouver, BC

MapleScore began as a side project between two game-design enthusiasts who shared an office on Granville Street in downtown Vancouver. The original question was simple: could you build a round arcade that looked as vivid and polished as the real thing, but where no money ever changed hands?

The answer, after several months of design iteration and responsible-gaming research, was yes. MapleScore launched as a free social platform where everything that makes the arcade format satisfying — the round animation, the payline flash, the win celebration — is present and fully functional, while every element that introduces financial risk is absent by design.

We are based in Vancouver because British Columbia has one of the strongest cultures of responsible-gaming advocacy in Canada, and we wanted to build in an environment where that thinking would naturally influence our decisions.

"We built MapleScore because we genuinely enjoy the arcade format — the colours, the anticipation, the little victory feeling. We just never wanted to attach a financial consequence to that enjoyment."

Our Principles

Three Commitments We Never Break

1

What We Do Not Do

We do not accept deposits. We do not offer real-money prizes. We do not sell virtual currency. We do not use dark-pattern design to encourage more play. We do not target advertising at anyone under 18. We do not collect financial data because there is nothing financial happening on our platform.

2

What We Do

We build visually engaging free entertainment. We maintain transparent paytables so players always know the symbol weights. We provide instant credit resets so there is never pressure to continue. We keep support-organisation links visible on every page of the platform, not hidden in footnotes.

3

How We Measure Success

Not by how long someone plays, but by whether they leave the session with the same financial position they arrived with. Not by conversion rates, but by clarity rates — how confidently does a new visitor understand that this is a free social game before they ever play a column?
